Was it just me or was anyone else annoyed by the 'tight' American Idol last night? I'm sorry, but for a show that practically wrote the book on dragging episodes out, it seemed really rushed, exactly what I don't like my current TV obsession to be. They really don't have to do anything extra (bizarre) to make me watch, I'm already hooked. Each contestant sang two Neil Diamond songs, only got judged after the second song, and Ryan's commentary was going what seemed like a million miles a minute (probably the normal speed of any other show). Either way, I can't tell you how many times he said 'tight show', which probably took up enough time for another song or monotonous dribble by one of the judges. Or at least some more camera time for Neil Diamond's take on the contestants. With the changes in format the hour went by so fast, Paula wasn't the only one confused.
