what day is it?

Tuesdays are music days!

Marc Broussard's new album Keep Coming Back came out today. He was on Conan O'Brien last night. I saw Marc last April and he sang a song he wrote for his daughter called 'Evangeline Rose.' I found a video of him singing it on Paste Magazine's YouTube channel. It's a beautiful song.

Check out some of the others artists while you're there, including John Butler, Katie Herzig, Matthew Perryman Jones, and Slow Runner.

The other day I found Noise Trade, which allows you to email 5 friends and then download an album from their list for free. I thought it was a neat idea, so I went on to reap the benefits of free music. Check it out!

I also recommend downloading The Republic Tigers single 'Buildings and Mountains' on iTunes. It's one of the free downloads of the week. Owner of Chop Shop Records Alexandra Patsavas, who used to be the music supervisor for 'The O.C.', and currently work on 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Gossip Girl' among other shows, signed The Republic Tigers as her first band on the label.
